Dear Mustang Families:

With summer quickly approaching, we have had a few inquiries about CBE Summer School. The only course available to Junior High students is Math 15 (going from Grade 9 to 10). It is an excellent course for learners who are preparing for Math 10-C, the gateway course for Math 20-1 or 20-2 (with the intention of heading to University or College). Your child’s SMATH teacher (Ms. Sterling (tasterling@cbe.ab.ca), Ms. Else (njelse@cbe.ab.ca), Ms. Roston (saroston@cbe.ab.ca), Mr. Le (CaLe@cbe.ab.ca)  are collecting the names of students interested in the class. Note: Math 15 is only available as an online course. Full details can be found at this LINK.

Athletics Update

Mr. Jones (sdjones@cbe.ab.ca)

All badminton teams will be finalized by this week. It is great to see so many aspiring athletes take a healthy risk and come out to tryouts. The badminton regular practice schedule can be found in our SJAM Athletic Center.

Track and Field is scheduled to start on Monday May 13th. Much more information will be released as we get closer to this date.

All students are encouraged to attend Fit Club on Monday after school and Friday morning. We have received word that the yearend Thermopylae Race (5 km mud run) is happening at Valley Creek School in Hidden Valley. Competitors must qualify to compete by attending Fit Club as much as possible.

Mustang of the Week

We are proud to share Ms. Amy T. (85) has been named the Must of the Week. As a classmate, Amy is incredibly supportive of her peers always ‘showing up EVERY single day’ and ‘ALWAYS with Enthusiasm’. Regardless of the challenges, Amy demonstrates resiliency seeking success for herself and others. As an active member of Fit Club and Students Council (STUCO), Amy is often a leader at school events. Congratulations Amy!
