Dear Mustang Families:

Please forward this weekly message to your child's personal email! We have also started posting these messages on our website.

We look forward to welcoming your children back to school tomorrow. With three months left in 2023-24, this school year will continue to be rich with learning opportunities.  Thank you for joining us at interviews as we work together to support your child.

On Tuesday April 2, 2024, our Mount Royal University students will be running a mini-health fair focusing on bullying, vaping, mental health and academic well-being at lunchtime in the Learning Commons. Please encourage your child to attend.

This week, Grade 8 and 9 students will be completing the “CBE Student Survey”. This is an opportunity for students to:

  • report on themselves, their own abilities and their accomplishments; and
  • take pride in what they have achieved.

The results are used in school and district reports to demonstrate that students are:

  • able to integrate and apply the knowledge, skills, attitudes and competencies they are acquiring across all academic disciplines; and
  • demonstrating Citizenship, Personal Development and Character in and through learning.

If you have any questions about the survey, please reach out to Mr. Rachid (morachid@cbe.ab.ca).

Mustang of the Week

Anderson B. (88) is our Mustang of the Week for April 2! Mr. Brophy’s leadership in Jazz Band, the Foods classroom and support of Mustang sports teams leads to this recognition. He is an independent learner who offers support to teachers and classmates during class and at school events. He was the last student to leave the building after the Winter Band Concert because he volunteered to sweep the entire gym floor! We appreciate the positive difference Mr. Brophy makes in the Mustang school community.
